Kathleen Albert graduated in 2003 with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of New England. She developed a passion for hand therapy and became a certified hand therapist in 2008. Kathleen has practiced in both inpatient and outpatient upper extremity rehabilitation for over 20 years. She is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists and recently joined the Education Division. She has presented on various hand therapy topics with the UE Institute and is involved with the mentoring program at ASHT. She received her wound care certification in 2023. Kathleen currently works at Medstar Health with the Curtis National Hand Center and University of Maryland Medical System providing both clinical care to patients and mentoring clinicians in hand therapy.
